I live in a small town.
My grandmother lives on the first floor and my family on the ground floor, which is a bit larger than the first floor.
When you open the front door, there is a long hall. On the left is a door leading into a small corridor.. Next to it there is a toilet and on the right side there is stairs leading to the first floor. The door in front of you leads into the sitting room and just on the left side there is an entrance to the kitchen. The sitting room is furnished quite well. In the corner there is a big sitting sofa in a shape of a letter “L”. In the front of it there is a small low table..The top of the table is made form glass. Above the sofa there are three pictures. On the opposite side there is a line of wardrobes and shelves along the wall.
My parents’ bedroom is quite simple. There is a large double bed and on each side of the bed there is a night table with a small lamp on it. On the walls of this room there are pictures and on the opposite side of the bed there is a bookcase. Next to the bookcase there are two big wardrobes.
Our kitchen is mainly made form wood. There is a cooker and washing machine. On the sewing machine we have got a telephone .In the kitchen there is a fridge with a flower on the top of it. Above the fridge there is a shelf with some interesting things and just next to this corner there is a door leading into my and my sister’s bedroom. This room isn’t so nice, because we’ve a lot of things and wardrobes. There is a large window and quite a big table with one chair by the window. On the left side there is my sister’s bed and above it there is my bed. We have got a small bookcase there as well. On the walls are posters and photographs. When you leave this room you are back in the kitchen and on the opposite side there are two another doors. One of them leads into our bathroom and the other one into our small food storage room.

Each of my days is full of work and duties. From Monday to Friday I get up at half past fife. After waking up I go to the toilet and then I go to the bathroom and I wash my face and brush my teeth. Then I go back to my room and I decide what I could wear today. After getting dressed I brush my hair. At about six o’clock I make my breakfast. I usually have only fruit tea or coffee; sometimes I have a roll or bread with some salami or cheese. Than I make a roll with butter, mustard and salami for my snack at school. Then I get my stuff for school ready.
I go to school every day so at half past six. . My lessons start at eight o’clock. The lesson is 45 minutes long and breaks are ten minutes long except a twenty minutes break which is between the third and the forth lesson. The break after the fifth lesson is quite short – only 5 minutes. Every day except Thursday my school is finishes at 13:25. On Thursday it’s at 15:05. When I get home my parents are still at work. First of all I switch on the radio and I listen to it. After that I go to the kitchen and I make some lunch. When my mother comes home we wash up the dishes.

When people think of pets they usually think of the most common types. This might be a dog or cat. Some people like to have some fish or a bird. For example there are hundreds of types of dogs from a large German Shepard to the smallest Chihuahua. There are also many breeds of cats which may have long fur, short fur or even almost no fur at all. If you are interested in fish then you should choose whether you want fresh water or salt water varieties. In your selection of a bird you might choose a small canary or a large parrot.
Some people who live in a small house or apartment can choose to keep a small pet like some type of rodent. There are many types of rodents that people can choose from. They might choose a hamster, a gerbil, a guinea pig, a little white mouse, or even a rat. They are a good choice because they are inexpensive to buy, they don't need much space and cleaning up after them doesn't take much time. If a person has some garden space they might keep a rabbit in a special type of cage called a hutch.

Lze použít i pro téma: Culture…We can go to the cinema,to the theatre, dancing, or we can stay at home and listen to the radio, watch television and read books.
There are two cinemas here which offer various films all the year round. On Sunday afternoon they show special films for children. Before I decide to go to the cinema,I choose the films very carefully. I do not like american commercial film and I am fond of witty comedies, psychological drama and films about young people above all.I am also glad to see films directed by my favourite directors.
There is also one theathre. But I do not like going to the theatre, the opera or the ballet.I have not enjoyed its performances.I usually go there only during the school year. In the cultural house dancing lessons, discos, balls, concerts and book sales aro also held. When I was in the second
Great Britain,
GEOGRAPHY:
Britain lies off the north-west coast of Europe across the English Channel, the Strait of Dover and the North Sea. It consists of two large islands (Great Britain and Ireland) and about 5.000 smaller ones . Its neighbors are Ireland to west and France to south-east.
The Highlands of Scotland are the highest mountains in Britain (with the highest mountain Ben Nevis). The longest rivers are the Severn and Thames.
PEOPLE:
.In Britain we can find the following ethnic groups: English, Scottish, Irish, Welsh, Ulster, Indian, Pakistan and others. The majority of people speak English
HISTORY:
The Celts arrived 2.500 to 3.000 ago.
GOVERNMENT TYPE:
Great Britain is a constitutional monarchy with the Queen as the head of state. Britain is divided into four parts: England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Locally in Britain divided into countries. The capital of the whole Britain is London. Other big cities according to population are Birmingham, Glasgow, Liverpool, and Manchester…..
INTERESTING PLACES:
England:
London- the cupital city, Oxford and Cambridge are the old university towns.
Wales: Wales is sometimes called the land of castles. The land is full mystery and beauty.
Scotland: Scotland is a historically and culturally separate country from England. The biggest city is Glasgow .The biggest lake is Loch Lomond and Loch Ness is famous for its “Loch Ness Monster”.
Northern Ireland is very beautiful place. It is a land of mountains, rivers and lakes. Belfast is the capital of NI. NI is formed by six counties. There are the problems between Protestants and Catholics, which started several centuries ago, still continue and are more political than religious.

Culture (cinema, TV, music, theatre)
When I say word entertainment a lot of people and me too imagine theatre, TV, cinema, music or parties. Entertainment is very important for our life. It’s not useful only for young people, but for older people too. When we go to the cinema, or to the theatre, when we go to the parties or when we watch TV we can meet a lot of new people, we can learn something interesting or it’s can be a good way of relaxing. Nowadays the television viewing is the most popular pastime.
TV is very important for me. I thing, I couldn’t be without TV. I don’t spend a lot of time on front of TV. I watch TV ten hours a week, but TV has a important role in my life. I don’t read newspaper a lot so TV is my main reporter about our political and cultural life. I watch TV news at 7 p.m. every day but now I hadn’t free time a lot. I watch TV mostly in the evening if there are some good films. I like comedies and romantic films. I hate horrors because when I watch some horror I have bad dreams.
Other entertainment is theatre. Theatergoing is not so frequent as a cinema or TV. I go to the theatre only one or two a year. When I go to the theatre it’s holiday for me and I must look perfectly. When we go to the theatre we have to wear elegant dresses and men have to wear dark jacket and dark trousers. When we decide to go the theatre we have to choose a play. When we come to the theatre we have to leave our coats, cap in the cloak room and after it we have to find our seats and buy a program. After the third bells we must be in the auditorium.
Type of performance: an opera, a ballet, an operetta, a musical….
Music- I like …….

Nebo Petra is equally as tall as me; she has a slim figure. She is dark-haired, and her hair is straight, medium long. The colour of her eyes is brown. Between them appears a small nose. Her face always expresses a jolly temper – it´s no wonder, because she just spends the careless years of youth! She is so witty and cheerful, and therefore I co-operate with her very well.
Besides dancing (which is her hobby) Petra likes modern music, drama, sports, nature and playing computer games.

The nature and the environment,
There are the mountains along the borders where many rivers have their source., the Elbe in the Giant Mountains, the Vltava in the Šumava Mountains and the Morava in the Jeseníky Mountains. The highest ground above the sea level is in the Giant Mountains. The highest peak is Sněžka..
Everything in our surrounding water, air, trees, natural resources… is our environment. Our planet has many eecological problems. The Earth has to support very many people. We consume a lot of natural resources and therefore we make a lot of garbage. Then we have to solve a very big problem where we will put all of this garbage?! In the Ocean?Yes Ocean is very big but what about toxic waste, nuclear waste it is very danger give this waste to the Ocean because Ocean of course is our environment!
GLOBAL WARMING Another problem is global warming. Many scientists believe that the hole in the ozon layer is caused by certain kinds of air pollution.
AMAZON FOREST Maybe I could tell you something about The Amazon Forest .This forest is very importatnt for the future of the world. This area contains one third of the world´s trees. Why are the Amazon forests being cut? People need the land ,people have money from the trees, people built roads and Brazil owes money to internacional organization and they cut trees and they pay back debt
What will happen if more of the Amazon forest cut down? There will be serious effects on the world´s climate
The air that we breathe will lose some of it´s oxygen

Another big problem is the destruction of nature.Industry and ever-increasing population have destroyed many forests. ANIMALS Endangered species in CR – frogs, stork, lynx…

Health and medicine
Health is the most important things in our life. If you are ill, you don’t feel so happy; you are tired so you must go to the doctor. If you have only common diseases, you go to the general doctor. The common diseases may be: cold, flu, fever, headache, etc.
When you go to the doctor, at first you have to wait in the waiting room. When a nurse calls your name you should go to the surgery. There is a doctor and he asks you usually some questions. For example: What is the matter with you?, How high is the fever?, Where does it hurt? The doctor examines you and prescribes you some of medicine. It may be tablets, syrup, vitamins, drops or ointment.
But if you have some of special problems, you have to go to the specialist. When you have something with your internal organs, for ex ample heart, lungs, stomach, kidneys, liver, gall-bladder, you have to see a specialist in internal organs. The specialists are in the policlinic. But if your problems are bad, you have to go to the hospital and sometimes you have to have an operation.
There are so many types of hobbies. Some hobbies are rather expensive, some are dangerous, some are very romantic etc.
. Now I play volleyball or tennis. I love cycling and for this hobby I always manage to find some time. In summer I like swimming. I like traveling too. When I’m at home I like reading, watching TV and sleeping.
Hobbies are very important for everybody. I really cannot imagine the world without hobbies.
It’s a pity that now I have so little free time. I cannot devote to sport as much time as I’d like tennis. I love cycling and for this hobby I always manage to find some time. In summer I like swimming. I like traveling too. When I’m at home I like reading, watching TV and sleeping.
Hobbies are very important for everybody. I really cannot imagine the world without hobbies.
Sports are very good for our physical and mental health. There are many types of sports and games.
Sport
Sports are very good for our physical and mental health. There are many types of sports and games. We can practice outdoor or indoor sports, sports in water or anywhere we want.
Outdoor sports are e.g. golf, skiing, fishing, climbing, tourism, horse rising, jogging etc.
Indoor sports are e.g. table tennis, gymnastics, chess, ball games, athletics (sprint, high jump, long jump, ball throw...), tennis, skating…
There are also aquatic sports, it means water skiing, swimming, and yachting, canoeing, and rowing and so on.
All over the world ball games are very popular. Ball games include volleyball, basketball, football, also tennis and handball. In winter many people go to the hills or the mountains, where they like skiing.
I would like to say a few words about other very important sports events. The most famous events are The Olympic Games. They are held every four years. They have their summer and winter parts.
At our school we have our physical training lessons three times a week. When the weather is good we can go out to the stadium. We can play baseball or we can practice athletics. Sometimes we go skating or swimming. During the winter we usually go to our gym, we practice volleyball, gymnastics and so on.
A good sportsman must be healthy and he must train very hard. Many people like sports, because sports are good for their active relaxation. I like many kinds of sports.

Transport
Transport in the Czech Republic
In the Czech Republic there are four basic types of transport. It is car, train, air and water transport. Ocean and sea transport misses there. It results from geography position of our country.
The biggest share covers motorcar transport. It has the thickest net too. The new roads and highways are built there, that makes the transport quick and fluent. The old roads and highways are damaged and somewhere in regions they are in the bad technical condition. Highways are built with heavy costs between the biggest towns in the Czech Republic. Highways belong to supreme quality sort of roads in our country. Next roads are motorways, roads first and second classe but district roads third classe too.
Train transport has a wide net of rails but the quality of offered service does not equalize motorcars. People do not use much this sort of transport. In the mature world train transport has it`s own tradition and stable place in transportof each state. This transport is the friendliest to our enviroment from all but paradoxical is not often. Sometimes the train is the only sort of transport, in which people can travel to bigger towns from their villages, when they go to work, school, schops and for free time. 95 % rails is owned by the state and the state has not got much money on the maintenance. The state would like to sell the rails . It is the only kind of transport, where the state has it`s share.
Air transport is behind the car and train transport but it obtains more customers because it is without competition the quickest in transit of passengers and goods. This transport is the quickest but it is the most expensive too. This is the reason for very expensive tickets. There is only one international airport in Prague (without the small airport in
Ostrava). Air transport is the safest transport over the world.
Water transport is used in our country only for transit of raw materials (oil, coal, woods, etc.) and as the ferry.
River transport has not a great importance (významný) for the Czech republic, which is without direct access (přístup) to the sea.
Weather (seasons)
Our country lies in the center of Europe and its climate is moderate. We have four different seasons - spring, summer, autumn and winter. Each of them has its special magic.
SPRING – begins on 21st March. On this date the day is as long as the night.. From this day on until 21st June days get longer and nights shorter. That’s why spring is a symbol of a new life. In spring flowers start growing up and everything seems to be clear. There is a lot of showers and rains and a temperature is bellow twenty degrees. Birds come back from south. It seems that begins a new life. And that is why people usually fall in love in spring.
SUMMER – begins on 21st June . Summers in our country are quite warm and usually rather dry almost without rains. Sometimes comes a storm. The sun shines most of time. . Summer is the best season mainly for students, because they have holiday and it means plenty of time for their hobbies. A lot of them go with their parents to the sea and some of them spend their holiday with grand-parents somewhere in the country in the cottage. It can be hot and dry or cold and dull of rain.
AUTUMN – begins on 23rd of September. On this day, the day is as long as the night. Autumn starts on 21st of September, but the weather is usually still warm. The end of October brings a lot of rains and weather is windy. The colors of tree leaves are fantastic. But this colors does not last long - the leaves of trees fall down. . From this day days get shorter than nights. . The weather is changeable. Sometimes it is sunny but quite often it is cloudy, rainy
WINTER – according to the calendar winter begins on 21st December. Then the weather is getting slowly colder and the winter comes. The winter's landscape is lovely, everything is covered in snow. Many people go to the mountains for skiing and snowboarding. The most favorite entertainment for children in winter is making snowmen, skiing and skating. But the most important thing is Christmas. Temperature is usually bellow zero and snowing is very frequent.
I like every season of the year, but my the most favorite seasons are summer and spring. Spring because of its magic when everything wake up. And summer because we have holidays and you can enjoy life without school.
Job
When I was a child I had never thought about my future career. I was influenced by stories and fairy-tales and I wanted to have various adventures. Hardly any of those came true because children´s views of the world are too romantic. Then I started to attend Basic School and all my dreams changed. I was interested in many things - in nature, music (I played the piano, the guitar and listened to music a lot), practising sports (volleyball, swimming), in culture (going to the cinema, to the theatre, seeing exhibitions), in reading. I was quite good at school, I liked all my school subjects. My plans for my future career changed from day to day. I wanted to be an actor, a cook, a vet, a scientist, a postman, a teacher, a hairdresser, a journalist, a judge
